About Maor
Personal Profile
Born in Jerusalem and now based in Prague, Maor began his musical journey at a young age, evolving his tastes through various curiousities, teachers, and experiences. Maor discovered a joy through music at a Queen tribute concert at around 10 years old, and while being trained mostly in Jazz, kept a keen interest in many genres throughout the years such as classic, progressive, and psychadelic rock, neo soul and hip-hop, and a variety of traditional folk music.

As his musical curiosity grew with time he became interested in other instruments besides guitar and developed an affinity for the technicalities of music production as a whole. Gathering information from anywhere he could, he taught himself how to use digital production tools to mix live shows and record and produce his own music.

In 2019 Maor moved to Prague and found a very lively and supportive musical community throughout the city. He participates in various projects, takes every chance to play in jam sessions, and produced his own show of a full live recreation of Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon' for its 50th Anniversary.

His music is characterised by a strong sense of groove, deep and spacey sounds, and musical stroytelling, with space for the weird and unconventional to reshape the musical molds we know, while delivering an introspective yet lively experice that bridges the gap between multiple musical worlds.
